The Celtics sent a rather large contingent to Detroit on Thursday to meet with free-agent forward Rasheed Wallace.

The Boston Globe reported that Celtics managing partner Wyc Grousbeck, team president Danny Ainge, coach Doc Rivers and All-Stars Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen were all present on the recruiting trip.

The Celtics are reportedly offering Wallace a contract using the mid-level exception, and the Boston Herald has reported that Wallace told teams he isn't going to make a decision quickly.
