76ers general manager Ed Stefanski contacted the Rockets about center Samuel Dalembert, but the team declined.

According to NBA sources, Stefanski wasn't inquiring about Tracy McGrady, but only to see if Houston was interested in Dalembert.

The center has two years and $23.6 million left on his contract. The Sixers have been trying to trade Dalembert -- per his request -- since before last season's trading deadline.
