The Cavaliers are widely expected to offer LeBron James a contract extension, according to a source.
The window for Cleveland to extend LeBron's contract opened on 12:01 a.m. Saturday morning.
If James is looking at an extension from strictly a salary cap standpoint, now would be the time for him to ink a new deal.
The NBA's cap is expected to go down significantly prior to the 2010-11 season after dropping more than a million this offseason.
"Who knows what can happen by then?" an agent told the Beacon Journal. "Revenues may be high enough so they won't do anything. Nobody knows for sure. It's a projection."
