Shaquille O'Neal says that he didn't steal the idea for his television show from former teammate Steve Nash.

O'Neal claims that Nash's idea for a reality show was "slightly different" than the premise of "Shaq VS."

"Everyone in America has similar ideas," O'Neal told the Associated Press on Saturday. "He had a similar idea. His idea was slightly different."

According to O'Neal, Nash planned to train alongside the world's best athletes, not compete against them as he is doing in his show.

"He's the Canadian Aaron Spelling, and I'm the black Spielberg," the center added.
