Knicks president Donnie Walsh has denied a report that the team is still trying to acquire Ricky Rubio.

"We haven't spoken to them [the Timberwolves] about Rubio since the day after the draft," Walsh told the New York Daily News.

Rubio intends to play in Spain for two seasons before coming to Minnesota.

There had been reports that the Knicks were considering a deal that would send David Lee to the Wolves for the unsigned rookie.
