Lakers forward Lamar Odom left the team's preseason win over the Kings on Thursday night because of a leg injury.

Odom limped to the locker room at the end of the first half after apparently getting kicked in the right shin.

After trying to play in the second half, Odom, who was clearly in pain, quickly checked out.

"I'm alright. It'll be alright," Odom told the Los Angeles Times after the game. "They were wrestling down there, Ron [Artest], the wrestler and [Sacramento's Jon] Brockman, they were wrestling and someone down there kicked me. Front side. Right side on my shin. Right on the muscle there. It's a tough place to get hit. Treatment, that's it."

The Lakers are officially calling the injury a right leg contusion and Odom is listed as day-to-day.

"I was done," Odom said of not wanting to risk further injury.

"I tried to push off, and (couldn't). It was not the time nor the place. You've gotta be careful, and take care of your injuries."
