Washington coach Lorenzo Romar said Tuesday the school is aware of a police investigation "about an allegation in regards to one of our student-athletes."

Romar said the allegation is being taken seriously, but "there is not nearly enough information at this point to determine what is going to be done here."

He declined to reveal any further details.

"Right now, we just have to give it a little more time to decide what is going to come of this," Romar said.

The Huskies, the only ranked team from the Pac-10, are off to a 4-0 start in conference play, their best since starting 6-0 during the 1983-84 season.
