The Celtics weren't expected to be players in the trade market, but the loss of Marquis Daniels has changed that.

There is no guarantee that Daniels will return this season after bruising his spinal cord against the Magic earlier this month.

The only viable trade options on Boston's roster appear to be Daniels and Nate Robinson.

Robinson is getting $4.2 million this season and is due to receive $4.5 million next season.

Daniels signed a one-year, $2.338 million deal last year and, as such, he has the right to veto any trade. If he allows a trade to go through, he will lose his "Bird rights" as a free agent this summer. Of course, his injury status appears to make him an unlikely trade target for another team.
