Dayton coach Brian Gregory has accepted the coaching job at Georgia Tech, a highly-placed team source confirmed this morning.
Gregory reportedly will have a news conference later this afternoon to formally announce his decision.

The ACC school has been looking to replace the fired Paul Hewitt, who went 13-18 this season. After Richmond coach Chris Mooney was interviewed Sunday and re-signed with the Spiders, the Yellow Jackets made an offer to the eight-year UD coach.

Gregory, 44, a former Michigan State assistant, had a 172-94 record with the Flyers with five postseason appearances. He's gone just 70-58 in the Atlantic 10, but he has a 12-5 mark against schools from BCS conferences in the last four seasons, including a win over Georgia Tech.
