Tulane secured a commitment from Louis Dabney on Tuesday.
Dabney is a 6-foot-3 guard from Riverside in the West Bank, who averaged 18 points per game last season.
“Where I want to be is close to home, it’s a good school and Coach (Ed Conroy) is trying to build a program up and I want to be a part of it,” Dabney said Tuesday afternoon.
“From what I see, coach is making the right picks and getting players to make the program what it used to be,” Dabney, a member of the 2012 recruiting class, said.
Dabney said he received an offer from Wyoming and was recruited by Louisiana Tech, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and LSU among others.
“I’m a high tempo but rhythm player,” Dabney said. “I like to get in a rhythm and play with a team that can run and just play – not that slow down stuff.”
