Brook Lopez is poised to return from a broken right foot.

"Brook Lopez is going to start tomorrow night, at home,'' Nets coach Avery Johnson said. "We put him through a pretty extensive workout yesterday, Billy (King, the Nets' GM) and I, and we took over a few of our other guys (to play against him). We put him through a hard workout -- really hard, grueling workout -- and he seemed to have responded pretty good to it. So... we’ll just kind of ease up on him today, and he’ll start and be in the lineup tomorrow night.''

Lopez will sit out Monday’s game against the Knicks and play Wednesday against Orlando.

"We wanted to see how he recovered, so it’s more of an every other day thing,'' Johnson said, in explaining why Lopez will not play against the Knicks. "So yesterday was his 'game day,' today was his rest day... So then tomorrow (v. Milwaukee) is his game, then the next day (v. the Knicks) he’ll be off... then the next game we play is on Wednesday.''
