Carlton Hurst, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound shooting guard from Aurora Central (CO) High School, gave his verbal commitment to sign with Colorado State.

"I've decided to represent Colorado and commit to Colorado State University," Hurst  tweeted.

Hurst chose the Rams over Buffalo, New Mexico, Pepperdine, St. Mary's and Wyoming.

"For a 6-2 guard, he rebounds the ball at a very high rate," said Ian Calvert, Hurst's coach at Aurora Central. "He gets to the foul line really well. He slashes. And his strength and his athleticism is college-ready."
