Tom Thibodeau is convinced that Derrick Rose will be a better a shooter than he was before suffering a torn ACL.

"He's put a ton of time into his shooting because basically that's all he could do along with his rehab stuff," Thibodeau said. "Each year that Derrick's been in the league he's added to his game. So this is a continuation of all the things he's done in the past. Every summer he's concentrated on something and we may see more post-ups and things of that nature, more catch and shoot for him also.”

Rose has never shot over 35 percent from three-point range over the course of a season.

"I think he's in a really good place," Thibodeau said. "I had an opportunity to work him out a few times after the season and his confidence level, he had additional time to build strength and confidence in the knee. He looks great. He's ready to go and we're looking forward to it."
