Carmelo Anthony will be a free agent this offseason and is weighing re-signing with the New York Knicks amid expected interest from the Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets and others.

The Knicks have limited roster flexibility this offseason, but could have significant cap space in 2015.

"As far as player personnel goes, I would love to be involved in that," said Anthony. "At the end of the day, you're creating a family."

Anthony spoke of how his family impacts his decision.

"Do you want your kids to grow up in that place and that city? Do I want to spend to the rest of my career in that situation in that city. So all of that stuff comes into play."

Anthony also explained how the decision goes beyond whether he will be in a position to win a title in 14-15.

"We're looking at the big picture here now, you're looking at the next six to eight years of your career, at the end of your career at that."
