LeBron James will sit out against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday, marking the 15th straight game he's missed with a groin injury suffered on Christmas Day.

James has yet to return to a full-contact practice.

Luke Walton didn't rule James out for Sunday's game against the Suns.

"He's not out yet for Sunday. I guess that puts it in play. With him and Rondo, it's going to be, again, how he's feeling tomorrow morning and take it from there and see how he's doing the next day after that and the next day. When they feel ready to play, then they'll play."

The Lakers are 5-9 without James and have fallen out of a playoff position.
