The New York Knicks have had internal discussions surrounding the possibility of signing Chris Paul this offseason, sources told Ian Begley of SNY.

The Knicks were interested in trading for Paul last summer.

Paul is likely to decline his $44.4 million player option with the Suns in hopes of signing a multi-year deal.

Begley adds that the Knicks had also discussed signing a point guard who isn't ball-dominant with Derrick Rose, Julius Randle, and RJ Barrett expected to handle the ball next season.
