The NBA expects to continue a Play-In Tournament for the 21-22 season after it was widely considered to be a success in its first season. The NBA had several teams playing to reach the Play-In Tournament during the final days of the regular season. "It's my expectation that we'll continue it for next season," said Adam Silver. "We, of course, need agreement from our teams and the Players Association. Know Michele Roberts doesn't have an easy job -- she has 450 players, some maybe have louder voices than others at the table. But again, I think ultimately although there were critics, not just LeBron but others who weren't in favor of it and maybe some teams who weren't thrilled with it, I think overall it was very positive for the league and the players. Certainly there'd been some suggestions about some tweaks we should consider, but again, I think once we bring it back to our owners for a vote and the Players Association meets and has an opportunity to consider it, it's my expectation that it will continue for next season."
