Adam Silver said he was still unsure whether the Toronto Raptors would play in Toronto next season.

“It’s unclear yet,” Silver said Tuesday before the NBA Finals. “I know on behalf of Larry Tanenbaum, who’s the governor of the team and happens to be the chairman of the board of the NBA, he’s very hopeful that Ontario will open up and they’ll be able to have the team back in Toronto.”

The Raptors, who played the 2020-21 season in Tampa Bay, finished with a 27-45 record.

The NBA begins training camp on September 28, with the regular season starting on October 19.

Toronto FC of MLS are heading back to Toronto on Thursday with the hopes of playing matches at home in the near future.
