C.J. McCollum had an awkward fall in the second half of the Portland Trail Blazers loss to the Boston Celtics on Saturday night. At the next stoppage, McCollum went to the locker room and did not return to the game.

Postgame imaging revealed McCollum suffered bruised ribs. McCollum will be reevaluated on Sunday.

Portland is already playing with guards Damian Lillard (strained abdominal) and Anfernee Simons (sprained ankle). The Blazers are also down wing Nassir Little (sprained ankle).

The loss to the Celtics dropped the Trail Blazers to two games under .500 on the season. Portland recently fired President of Basketball Operations Neil Olshey for workplace misconduct. Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups has come under fire for the team's poor start, while he's called out his players' effort levels several times.
