The Phoenix Suns are planning to fill their open Two-Way spot with Gabriel "Iffe" Lundberg of Denmark. The 6-foot-4 guard will become the first Danish-born player to play in the NBA.
Lundberg had been playing for CSKA Moscow. Along with several teammates, Lundberg left the team after Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Lundberg reportedly paid his buyout himself to get free from his deal with CSKA.
The 27-year-old had averaged 10.4 points in 21.9 minutes per game in 39 games for CSKA. Lundberg has also played for teams in his native Denmark, Spain and Poland in his professional career.
