The Detroit Pistons now have $43 million in cap space entering the offseason following their trade of Jerami Grant and are "heavily expected" to pursue Deandre Ayton.

While the Phoenix Suns aren't necessarily determined to retain Deandre Ayton, they are widely expected to not let him leave without compensation, which could lead to a sign-and-trade.

Ayton and the Suns were unable to agree to terms on an extension before the start of the 21-22 season and the relationship is believed to have deteriorated from there.

Ayton would give the Pistons a pair of young former No. 1s in Cade Cunningham as well.
