NBA commissioner Adam Silver is finalizing a contract extension. Silver's extension is expected to run through the end of the decade.

Silver has been the NBA's commissioner since David Stern retired in 2014. Prior to becoming commissioner, Silver had served as the NBA's deputy commissioner for eight years.
