Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis will miss the opening week of the NBA season due to a Grade 1 hamstring strain. Sabonis was injured during the preseason.
The Kings will be without their starting center for games against at the Phoenix Suns and against the Utah Jazz. Sabonis is set to be re-evaluated in one week.
This news means that Sacramento will open the season without two starters, with Sabonis joining Keegan Murray on the sideline. Murray is recovering from a torn ligament in his left thumb and is expected to miss the first few weeks of the season.
