The Memphis Grizzlies have picked up the 2026-27 rookie scale team option for center Zach Edey. This is Edey's third-year rookie scale option. Edey will be on the Grizzlies cap sheet at $6.3 million for next season.

Edey is missing the start of this season due to offseason ankle surgery. As a rookie, the 7-foot-3 center starting 55 of the 66 games he played. Edey averaged 9.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 21.5 minutes per game.
