The Memphis Grizzlies got one player back from injury, but immediately went down another player. Starting center Zach Edey made his season debut on Saturday following offseason ankle surgery. Unfortunately, as Edey returned, two-way player Javon Small was ruled out for at least three weeks due to a turf toe injury in his left foot.

Small was injured last week in a G League game with the Memphis Hustle. After opening the season as a rotation player, Small had been assigned to the G League over the last week-plus.
