Trae Young is close to returning from a knee injury and has been upgraded to questionable for Thursday's game against the Charlotte Hornets.

Young has been out since suffering an MCL sprain on October 29.

Young, who has missed 22 straight games, fully participated in practice on Wednesday.

The Hawks are 13-9 without Young on the year.

"For me since Day 1, I've always felt I was a puzzle piece to the big puzzle. I never felt like I was the whole puzzle. I'm about to come back and do the same thing, just be another piece to the puzzle and try to fit in," said Young about his return.
