Memphis Grizzlies guard Ty Jerome is closing in on making his season debut. Jerome has missed the entire season due to a preseason calf injury. Grizzlies coach Tuomas Iisalo said that Jerome has been doing five-on-five work.

Iisalo said that Jerome will build up his conditioning over the next week or two before appearing in a game. That seems to indicate that Jerome will likely return to game action just ahead of the All-Star break.

The Grizzlies signed Jerome to a three-year, $27.6 million contract this summer. That deal followed the veteran guard's breakout season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
