Trade discussions between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Clippers have yet to reach an "advanced stage," sources told Marc Stein and Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.
While rumors suggested a deal involving James Harden and Darius Garland, current trade discussions between the two sides are focused on the likes of John Collins and Bogdan Bogdanovic.
The Clippers do believe that the Cavs could still be a destination for Harden, according to sources.
It was reported on Monday night that the Clippers and Harden are working together on a potential deal before Thursday's deadline. Harden's desire for a contract extension is seen as an important factor in his willingness to leave the Clippers.
"It's all about a contract extension," one source told The Stein Line.
The Cavs are also potentially looking to make a "major move" before Thursday's deadline.
