The Charlotte Hornets signed Pat Connaughton, the team announced on Monday.

The move comes after the team opened up a roster spot by waiving Malaki Branham.

The Hornets waived Connaughton to complete a deal in which they acquired Branham from the Mavs for Tyus Jones. 

Connaughton is averaging 2.9 points and 1.4 rebounds in 22 games this season.
