The Portland Fire selected unrestricted free agent Bridget Carleton with the No. 1 pick in the 2026 WNBA expansion draft on Friday.

Carleton averaged 6.5 points and 3.6 rebounds for the Lynx last season.

The Tempo selected point guard Julie Allemand with their top pick in the draft.

With Carleton and Tempo draft pick Marina Mabrey both unrestricted free agents, they could still not sign for their respective teams.
