The Portland Trail Blazers are exploring the coaching market to better gauge the team's options, sources told Marc Stein of The Stein Line.

Tiago Splitter is 40-37 as the team's interim coach, with Chauncy Billups placed on indefinite leave by the NBA due to a federal gambling probe.

The Blazers are currently eighth in the Western Conference standings.

New owner Tom Dundon previously addressed potential personnel changes, saying that the team "isn't where I think we can be."

"I don't like getting rid of people. I like to see who's capable of taking that next step," he said. "They need to worry about what they're gonna do."
