Luka Doncic will head to Europe to seek specialized medical treatment in an attempt to expedite his return from a Grade 2 hamstring strain, sources told Shams Charania and Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

The decision was made in consultation with the Lakers and his own medical team.

Doncic suffered the injury last Thursday, with the guard one game below the 65-game threshold required for end-of-season award eligibility.

Doncic is averaging a league-high 33.5 points in 64 games this season.

The Lakers also lost Austin Reaves this weekend for 4-6 weeks with an oblique injury.
