The Cleveland Cavaliers' three-headed offensive attack proved too much for Toronto once again. Donovan Mitchell scored 30 points, James Harden added 28, and Evan Mobley contributed 25 as they defeated the Toronto Raptors 115-105 in Game 2 Monday night, taking a 2-0 first-round Eastern Conference series lead.

The victory extended Cleveland's postseason winning streak against Toronto to 12 straight, tying an NBA record for consecutive playoff wins against a single opponent. The Cavs hold identical 12-game active streaks against both Detroit and Atlanta.

Cleveland generated 1.190 points per possession versus the Raptors' 1.086. The Cavaliers never surrendered the lead throughout the contest.

"Your superstars step up," Kenny Atkinson said. "This is a superstar game. Those three led us. They hit the big shots. That's why these guys ... that's why they're stars."

Mitchell and Harden combined to score or assist on 78 of Cleveland's 115 points, 68% of the team's total output, per ESPN Research. Atkinson highlighted their floor communication as a critical factor since Harden's mid-season arrival.

"They're in constant conversations about what's going on out there in the huddle," Atkinson said. "De facto leaders, right? They're vocal and they see what's going on on both sides of it. ... That's why it helps to have two smart guys like that."

Scottie Barnes posted a playoff career-best 26 points for Toronto, while RJ Barrett added 22. Brandon Ingram struggled badly, managing just seven points on 3-for-15 shooting. Both Mitchell and Harden publicly credited reserve forward Dean Wade's defensive work on Ingram as decisive.

"As much as y'all talk about us three, Dean Wade deserves a bunch of credit for tonight," Mitchell said.

Toronto committed a season-worst 22 turnovers.

Game 3 is Thursday in Toronto with the Cavaliers -3.5 point favorites on the road.
