Kevin Durant has been ruled out by the Houston Rockets for their critical Game 3 hosting the Los Angeles Lakers due to a sprained right ankle. Durant missed Game 1 due to a knee contusion and suffered the ankle injury in Game 2.

Durant has been experiencing swelling in his left ankle since the injury.

The Rockets trail the Lakers 2-0 heading into Game 3. Houston will start Reed Shappard and Tari Eason without Durant in the lineup.
