Kevin Durant is expected to miss Game 5 of the Houston Rockets' first round series at the Los Angeles Lakers.

Durant has missed the past two games due to a sprained left ankle and bone bruise. Durant also missed Game 1 of the series due to a knee injury he picked up during practice leading to the series.

Durant scored 23 points in Game 2, which was also when he suffered the ankle injury.

The Rockets enter Game 5 trailing the Lakers 3-1 in the series. The Rockets were already without Fred VanVleet and Steven Adams, while the Lakers have played the entire series without Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves. However, Reaves is expected to return for Game 5.
