The Orlando Magic fell in the first round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs after blowing a 3-1 lead to the Detroit Pistons. There will be changes coming for Orlando this offseason, but they likely won't come in the front office.

Jeff Weltman is likely to retain his role as president of basketball operations. Weltman reportedly signed a contract extension with the Magic during the early part of the regular season.

The Magic did dismiss head coach Jamahl Mosley in the aftermath of the playoff loss to the Pistons. Mosley's job was considered in jeopardy after an underwhelming regular season.

In his nine years of running the Orlando front office, Weltman's teams have made five playoff appearances. Overall, the Magic have a 310-409 regular season record under Weltman's leadership. The team has not advanced out of the first round of the playoffs since Weltman took over the front office in 2017.
