Late last week I wrote a column highlighting where I wouldn?t mind seeing the Philadelphia 76ers? Allen Iverson end up. When the announcement that Iverson ?officially? wanted to leave the City of Brotherly Love broke, I immediately began running options through our ?Trade Checker? in an attempt to pump out the column as soon as possible. I was worried that a deal would go down before I could get my story published. How silly was I? Rumor out of the league office this weekend was that the Sixers may hold onto A.I. until the all-star break.

Some of my proposed deals have lost their relevance, so I turned some responsibility over to our beloved RealGM readers. I have received nearly one-hundred e-mails containing Iverson trade scenarios since I posted my column last Thursday, so without further ado, here are the scenarios I enjoyed most?

Ryan Bonorden would like to see Iverson head to Memphis in either one of these two scenarios: Allen Iverson for Eddie Jones and a first-round pick, or Iverson and Dalembert for Jones, Chucky Atkins, Jake Tsakalidis, and a first-round pick.

Although it seems as though Memphis is no longer in the running for Iverson, I think trading for an expiring contract like Jones? is the best move the Sixers can make. Clearing cap space that quickly, and getting a first round pick in the process, would make Philadelphia big-time winners in this trade. I didn?t run anything through our software, but maybe the Grizzles can also unload Pau Gasol in the process.

Jimmy Pratt would love to see Iverson in a Miami Heat uniform: The Sixers send Iverson to Miami in exchange for Jason Williams, James Posey, and a first-round pick.

Philadelphia makes this deal for a few reasons: They get an expiring contract in Posey, improve their point guard position with Williams, and may find a spark in reuniting Williams and Webber. Mr. Pratt also pointed out that Philly would clear the contracts of Posey, Williams, and Webber within the next two seasons. The rest of the Eastern Conference might rebel though; if Shaq gets healthy the Heat would start a trio of Iverson, Wade, and Shaq. Fit the rings now.

Raul sent me a long list of possible trades that would end the Iverson Saga. Here are a few of my favorites: Chicago trades Ben Gordon, P.J. Brown, and Mike Sweetney to Philly for Iverson, or Sacramento sends Mike Bibby, Kevin Martin, and Vitaly Potapenko to the Sixers for Iverson.

I like both of these deals. If Chicago can acquire A.I. for Gordon, Brown, and Sweetney they?ll cement themselves as an NBA title contender. They would also unload the very unhappy P.J. Brown in the process. Pairing Iverson with Ben Wallace and their core of young talent would make the Bulls good for at least the next two or three years.

The deal may not seem likely, but Raul?s proposed Sacramento-Philly deal may be my favorite thus far. The Sixers would remain competitive with Bibby and Martin in their back court. Meanwhile, the Kings would get another fan favorite for their electric Arco Arena. The duo of Iverson-Artest could do some damage in the Western Conference.

Tim Dolan believes that ?The Answer? will ultimately end up in Denver, the leading candidate for A.I. as of Monday night: Denver would acquire Iverson after trading Andre Miller and a first round draft pick to Philadelphia and Marcus Camby to Portland. Philly ends up with Miller, Jamal Magloire, and a first-rounder. Denver gets Iverson, and Portland lands Marcus Camby.

The Sixers get a huge upgrade at point guard, an expiring player in Magloire, and a first-round pick to help them rebuild. Denver is then able to pair Iverson with Carmelo Anthony and the rest of the Nuggets? young core. The Trail Blazers add a rebound machine in Camby and are able to provide Joel Pryzbilla with adequate help in the post.

David Long thinks the 76ers should pack it in and hope for Oden next summer: The Boston Celtics get Allen Iverson and Louis Williams in exchange for Al Jefferson, Sebastian Telfair, Theo Ratliff, and a first-round pick.

This deal gives Philadelphia solid pieces for the future, including a draft pick, and allows the Celtics to pair Allen Iverson with Paul Pierce. Long argued that the Sixers would have hope with Jefferson and Telfair, but more importantly put themselves in good position to draft Greg Oden this June. While I like the deal, I think there are too many ?ifs? for the Sixers. In order to get Oden, he?d have to enter the draft after his first NCAA season and Philly would have to win the whacky NBA lottery.
