Kyrylo Fesenko has officially signed with Ukrainian club BC Donetsk, the team announced.

RealGM first reported on Tuesday that Fesenko was finalizing agreement with BC Donetsk.

Fesenko’s new contract is flexible, and people close to the 7-foot-1 center believe that playing in Ukraine will allow him to log heavy minutes, prove himself and get into good basketball shape for a potential NBA training camp invitation next fall.

Fesenko had appeared in training camp with the Chicago Bulls this season and worked out for the Atlanta Hawks in late October.

A native of Ukraine, Fesenko, 26, has played five seasons with the Utah Jazz and Indiana Pacers, averaging 2.3 points and two rebounds.

Leaving his immediate NBA future in doubt, free agent center Kyrylo Fesenko is finalizing a contract agreement with Ukrainian club BC Donetsk, league sources told RealGM.

Fesenko’s agent, David Carro, confirmed the deal is close to being signed for Fesenko to end his NBA training to play in Ukraine.

Fesenko had been working out in Colorado for months and held out hope that he would return to the NBA at some point this season after training camp with the Chicago Bulls. He also worked out for the Atlanta Hawks in late October.

Fesenko, 26, recently returned to his native Ukraine. He has averaged 2.3 points and two rebounds over his five-year NBA career with the Utah Jazz and Indiana Pacers.

Darius Songaila recently signed a deal with BC Donetsk in the Ukraine that will allow him to sign with an NBA team during the season.

"I don't want to spend the whole year somewhere in Europe far away from my daughter. It would be much better if I could live in the States, where I could visit her without too much effort," Songaila said to lrytas.lt.

"The short-term contract was my idea. I didn't want to just sit at home, because NBA training camps start only in the end of September, while the actual season doesn't begin until November. We signed a contract that would allow me to leave," said Songaila.

Darius Songaila has agreed to terms of a one-year contract with BC Donetsk, a club located in the Ukraine.

Songaila split last season with Galatasaray and Valladolid.

D'or Fischer has signed with BC Donetsk.

Fischer was recently linked to Real Madrid a return to Real Madrid. Fischer played last season for Bilbao Basket.

BC Donetsk are the champions of the Ukraine and will also compete in Eurocup.
