The Utah Jazz are guaranteeing Kris Dunn's contract, sources told Tony Jones of The Athletic.
Dunn averaged 13.2 points in 22 games for the team last season.
The New York Knicks are signing Duane Washington Jr. to a two-way deal, sources told Ian Begley of SNY.
The team made several moves over the weekend, including converting Dylan Windler to a standard contract and converting Charlie Brown Jr and Jacob Toppin to two-way deals.
With 15 standard contracts and three two-way deals, the Knicks now have a full roster.
The Atlanta Hawks have exercised their 2024-25 rookie scale team options for Jalen Johnson and AJ Griffin. This was the fourth-year option for Johnson and the third-year option for Griffin.
Johnson is expected to play a bigger role for Atlanta this season, following the trade of John Collins. The 6-foot-9 forward appeared in 70 games last season and averaged 5.6 points and 4.0 rebounds in 14.9 minutes per game.
Griffin played in 72 games as a rookie, with 12 starts. He averaged 8.9 points and hit 39% from behind the arc.
The New Orleans Pelicans have claimed Matt Ryan off waivers. Ryan was waived from his two-way contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves, as part of their roster cutdown. The Pelicans will now have Ryan on a two-way deal.
Ryan has appeared in NBA games with the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers and the Timberwolves. In 315 NBA minutes, Ryan has made 33 of 89 three-point attempts. He's also shot 39.8% from behind the arc over two G League seasons.
The Sacramento Kings have exercised their 2024-25 rookie scale team options for Chris Duarte, Davion Mitchell and Keegan Murray.
These are the fourth-year options for Duarte and Mitchell. Murray had his third-year option picked up.
Teams have until October 31 to exercised rookie scale team options for the 2024-25 season.
The Portland Trail Blazers claimed Ish Wainright off waivers. Wainright had been waived by the Phoenix Suns earlier in the week.
Portland also waived Kevin Knox and Duop Reath. Both Knox and Reath were signed to non-guaranteed camp deal. Both players are expected to play for the Rip City Remix of the G League this season.
The Orlando Magic converted Trevelin Queen to a two-way contract. Queen had been signed to an Exhibit 10 contract.
Queen has two years of NBA experience. He's previously played for the Houston Rockets and Indiana Pacers.
Orlando also waived Mac McClung, Daeqwon Plowden and Brandon Williams. Those three players are expected to join the Osceola Magic of the G League for this season.
Orlando's roster now stands in regular season compliance with 15 players signed to standard contracts and three players on two-way contracts.
The Philadelphia 76ers have converted Javonte Smart to a two-way contract. Smart had been signed to an Exhibit 10 contract.
Smart has one year of NBA experience. He spent time with both the Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks during the 2021-22 season. Smart played for the Birmingham Squadron of the G League last season. He averaged 13.6 points and 3.2 assists per game with the Squadron.
The Milwaukee Bucks converted Marques Bolden to a two-way contract. Bolden was signed to an Exhibit 10 contract earlier this offseason.
Bolden has played in two NBA season, both with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 6-foot-10 center also has four seasons worth of G League experience.
The Bucks roster is now in regular season compliance with 15 players on standard contracts and three players signed to two-way contracts.
