A trying season for Chicago Bulls forward Patrick Williams has gotten even more difficult. Williams is going to miss at least two weeks due to a left foot injury.

The fourth-year forward was diagnosed with acute bone edema in his left foot. Williams was injured in the Bulls game on January 25. The two-week timeline will keep Williams out until after the trade deadline on February 8.

Nick Nurse said that Joel Embiid's injury which forced the center to leave the Philadelphia 76ers' loss to the Golden State Warriors in the fourth quarter was not related to the center's previous knee injury that held him out in recent games. 

Embiid left the game after Jonathan Kuminga landed on his leg. 

Embiid is scheduled for an MRI.

Nurse added that Embiid felt good before the Warriors game, and the medical staff was comfortable clearing him to play. 

Darius Garland is "extremely close" to returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers lineup, according to J.B. Bickerstaff.

Garland has been out since breaking his jaw on December 15.

Evan Mobley, who has been out since early December due to left knee surgery, returned to the Cavs lineup on Monday night.

The Cavs went 14-4 without Mobley. 

OG Anunoby will be day-to-day due to right elbow inflammation, according to Tom Thibodeau.

"I think it's going to be day-to-day. It's inflammation, so we'll see where it is tomorrow," said Thibodeau.

The Knicks, who defeated the Hornets 113-92 on Monday night, play the Jazz on Tuesday.

The team announced earlier on Monday that Julius Randle will miss several weeks with a dislocated shoulder. 

Joel Embiid has been ruled out for Monday's game at the Portland Trail Blazers with a knee injury.

"He's just managing this knee injury," said Ramona Shelburne. "I think he fully intended to play in Denver. He's the one who said 'I'm playing, don't even put me on the injury report.'

"But that knee is an issue he's going to have to manage for the rest of the season. There's swelling in there. He couldn't even jump before the Denver game. I know he took a lot of flak for all that, but he's not going to play again against Portland."

Embiid can only miss five more games to remain eligible for regular season awards. 

Julius Randle will miss at least a few weeks with a right shoulder dislocation.

The initial MRI revealed that Randle did not significantly damage the shoulder with the injury and will not need surgery.

Randle is averaging 24.0 points, 9.2 rebounds and 5.0 assists this season.

Tyrese Haliburton will likely return from his hamstring injury on Tuesday when the Indiana Pacers play the Boston Celtics.

Haliburton has missed 10 of the Pacers' past 11 games with the injury.

Julius Randle will miss the New York Knicks' matchup against the Charlotte Hornets due to a dislocated right shoulder.

Randle suffered the injury on Saturday against the Heat.

The Knicks will not know the extent of Randle's injury until they get the results of his MRI. 

The Cleveland Cavaliers have won nine of their last 10 games. And they might get a star player back before their next game.

Big man Evan Mobley may make his return for the Cavs game against the LA Clippers on Monday. Mobley has been out since December 6, when he was injured against the Orlando Magic.

Mobley had arthroscopic left knee surgery on December 18 and was given a 6-to-8 window to return. If Mobley returns on Monday, it will be exactly six weeks after surgery.

The Brooklyn Nets have upgraded Ben Simmons to probable for Monday's game against the Utah Jazz. Simmons hasn't played since November 6 due to a back injury.

Simmons recently said he feels good and that his back is strong enough for him to return. Nets coach Jacque Vaughn said Simmons was ramping up and was close to returning last week.
