92 Early Entry Candidates Remain In NBA Draft

The 2023 NBA Draft field is set. The final withdrawal deadline for Early Entry Candidates was June 12. The NBA released that 44 international players and four US-based players withdrew from the draft. That was in addition to 108 players who withdrew ahead of the NCAA withdrawal deadline on May 31.

The leaves 92 total Early Entry Candidates for the 2023 NBA Draft. 84 players are NCAA early entrants and eight come from international leagues.

The 2023 NBA Draft will take place on Thursday, June 22. In this year's draft, 58 total players will be selected, as the Chicago Bulls and Philadelphia 76ers both forfeited second-round picks due to tampering. The San Antonio Spurs hold the first overall pick in the draft and are widely expected to select Victor Wembanyama out of France.

108 NCAA Players Withdraw From 2023 NBA Draft

The withdrawal deadline for NCAA players who declared as Early Entry Candidates for the 2023 NBA Draft was Wednesday, May 31. 108 players chose to withdraw from the draft to retain their NCAA eligibility.

Notable players who withdrew include Zach Edey (Purdue), Reece Beekman (Virginia) and Trey Alexander, Ryan Kalkbrenner and Arthur Kaluma (all Creighton).

Non-NCAA players have until Monday, June 12 at 5:00 PM to withdraw from the draft. The 2023 NBA Draft will be held on Thursday, June 22.
