“We have thrown our hat in the ring for 2016 , did a terrific presentation for the league to promote Toronto as a location, and absolutely want to host it,” MLSE chief operating officer Tom Anselmi told the Sun

Brooklyn or New York is expected to receive the 2015 game.

Cleveland is trying to land either the 2016 or 2017 game.

The All-Star Game has never been hosted outside the United States.

TNT's coverage of the 2013 NBA All-Star Game had an overnight rating of 5.9.

The rating represents a nine percent increase over last year's game in Orlando.

The All-Star Game also generated 3.4 million comments across social media.

The score was close throughout the game.

Chris Paul was named MVP of the 2013 All-Star Game, leading the Western Conference to a 143-138 win.

Paul had 20 points on 7-for-10 shooting, 15 assists and four steals.

Kevin Durant was also an MVP candidate as well, scoring 30 points on 13-for-24 shooting with six rebounds.

Carmelo Anthony paced the Eastern Conference with 26 points, while Dwyane Wade had 21 and LeBron James had 19.

Secondary ticket prices for the 2013 NBA All-Star Game have increased by 41 percent in comparison to the 2012 NBA All-Star Game played in Orlando, based on data from VividSeats.

The average ticket price on the Friday before last year's All-Star Game was $884, while the current average price for Sunday's game in Houston is $1,249.

There has also been a higher volume of sales this year, up 53 percent from 2012.

The Eastern Conference All-Star team will start Chris Bosh to replace Rajon Rondo.

Sacramento continues its fight to keep the Kings from relocating.

The Maloofs have signed a deal with a group based in Seattle that plan to move the Kings there for the 13-14 NBA season.

"It's going to be a very difficult decision for the board of governors if Sacramento comes up with an offer," said David Stern on Thursday.

Stern said that expansion isn't really an option for the NBA at this point, though it could change after his 2014 retirement.

Carmelo Anthony suffered a "deep" right arm contusion on Wednesday and may skip the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday.

Anthony said he felt numbness throughout the game and called the contusion "kind of deep."

"I'm not going to force it, definitely not going to force it," Anthony said. "As bad as I would want to play in the All-Star Game, participate, if I can't go, I can't go. Nothing I can do about that."

James Harden will sit out Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers with an ankle injury.

Harden sustained the injury in the second half of the Houston Rockets' win on Tuesday against hte Warriors.

Harden is expected to be ready for Sunday's All-Star Game.

Matt Bonner has built a long NBA career for himself as a stretch forward.

Bonner has a career three-point shooting percentage of 41.6 percent and 43.0 percent this season.

Bonner spoke to RealGM about participating in the Three-Point Shootout during All-Star Weekend.

“I am incredibly excited,” Bonner told RealGM. “I don’t know how I’m going to sleep the night before. This is something that, on a personal level, I’ve wanted for a long time. To be finally selected for it, after all these years, seems surreal.”

Bonner acknowledged preparing for the event is different than a regular game.

“It’s definitely different,” Bonner told RealGM. “It’s much more difficult shooting off a rack than from catching a pass. My strategy is to go as fast as I can so I finish all the shots and try to take a little extra time on the money ball.”

Joakim Noah did not participate in Chicago Bulls practice on Sunday due to his ongoing plantar fasciitis and admits he may miss next weekend's NBA All-Star Game with the injury.

"It's pretty important," Noah said of his first All-Star Game. "Well, it's not that important, but it's something I want to do. But I also have to do what's right for the team. There's obviously a bigger picture than the All-Star Game. We'll see."

Noah, who is confident he will play in the Bulls' final two games before the All-Star break, was selected as a reserve for the Eastern Conference team.
