John Calipari, Dikembe Mutombo, Tim Hardaway and Kevin Johnson are among 12 finalists for the 2015 Basketball Hall of Fame class.

Bo Ryan, Lisa Leslie, Dick Bavetta, Jo Jo White, Spencer Haywood, Bill Fitch, Robert Hughes and Leta Andrews are also finalists.

Calipari's teams have reached the Final Four five times.

"I'm at a loss for words," Calipari said. "I want to thank the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame committee for even considering me. The process is by no means over -- I'm just a finalist at this point -- but to even be mentioned as a finalist among these worthy candidates is an unbelievable honor. I am absolutely humbled by this.

"I want to thank the people at UMass, Memphis and Kentucky for giving Ellen and I an opportunity to coach at three great institutions. I want to thank all the assistants and staff who have worked for us over the years, as well as the people in the community who have added value to our lives. Most importantly, I want to thank all of the players who have let us coach them and all of the parents who entrusted us with their son. Thank you."

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played Feb. 2-8. The award is the first of Antetokounmpo’s career.

Antetokounmpo averaged 19.5 points (.633 FG%), 11.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.8 blocks during the week while leading the Bucks to a 3-1 record.

Russell Westbrook won the award for the Western Conference, averaging 34.4 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game.

Andrew Wiggins and Elfrid Payton have been named the NBA Rookies of the Month for January.

Wiggins has won the award in every month of the season.

The starting five of the Atlanta Hawks and James Harden have been named the NBA's Players of the Month for January.

The Hawks start Paul Millsap, Jeff Teague, Al Horford, Kyle Korver and DeMarre Carroll.

Atlanta went 17-0 during the month of January.

This is the first time in league history five teammates have shared the Monthly award, and is the only the second time ever (Dallas’ Michael Finley, Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash shared the award in October/November 2002) that multiple players from one team have been honored.

Kyrie Irving and Zach Randolph have been named the NBA Players of the Week.

Irving led Cleveland to a perfect 4-0 record this past week, averaging a team-high 31.5 points on .477 shooting from the field, including .512 (22-43) from the three-point line, .870 (20-23) from the foul line, 3.5 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.8 steals in 36.3 minutes per game. 

Irving also scored 55 points in one game last week.

Mike Budenholzer of the Atlanta Hawks and Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors have been named the NBA's Eastern and Western Conference Coaches of the Month for January, the NBA announced.

Budenholzer guided the Hawks to a 17-0 record in January while Kerr's Warriors went 12-3.
