Kevin Porter Jr Hopes To Return To PAOK If No NBA Deal Comes

Apr 28, 2024 10:38 AM

Kevin Porter Jr. had a tumultuous year before finally landing with PAOK in Greece in early April. Porter was arrested and charged with domestic violence in September. He accepted a plea deal in January.

Following the arrest, Porter was eventually traded by the Houston Rockets to the Oklahoma City Thunder in a salary-clearing move. The Thunder immediately waived Porter.

Now, Porter would like to return to PAOK if no NBA deal comes his way.

"If it is up to me, I don’t see myself, when it comes from the overseas standpoint if I am staying out here another year – if I have the opportunity to go back to the NBA, then I will probably go back to the NBA – but if it is not the NBA, I don’t want to play for another club than PAOK," Porter said. "I feel like they have welcomed me and they gave me the chance that a lot of people looked over."

Porter played in four games for PAOK. He averaged 20.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.8 blocks per game.

Apr 25, 2024 10:52 AM

Tidjane Saluan of Cholet Basket in France has declared as an Early Entry Candidate for the 2024 NBA Draft. Salaun won't turn 19 until mid-August, making him one of the younger prospects in this year's draft class.

In 48 games for Cholet Basket this season, the 6-foot-9 forward has averaged 9.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in 23.3 minutes per game. Salaun has shot 40.4% from the field, including 33% on three-pointers. The expectation is that Salaun's offensive game will round to complement his already good defense.

Zaccharie Risacher Declares For 2024 NBA Draft

Apr 22, 2024 10:02 AM

Projected first overall pick Zaccharie Risacher has declared as an Early Entry Candidate for the 2024 NBA Draft. Risacher is widely mocked as a top pick, with most having him is the most likely player to be selected first overall.

Risacher is playing for JL Bourg in France, on a loan from fellow French club ASVEL. In 53 total games, the 6-foot-8 inch forward has averaged 10.5 points and 3.4 rebounds per game. Risacher has shot 45.7% overall, including 38.6% on 3.5 three-point attempts per game.

Risacher turned 18 in early April, which made him eligible to enter this year's draft. He was named to the French senior national team for EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers this past February. Risacher saw limited action in France's victory over Croatia and did not play in France's victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
