Anthony Bennett could be joining the Sydney Kings next season, according to a report out of Australia.

Sydney GM Jeff Van Groningen is visiting Las Vegas during his current United States' scouting trip.

Bennett was the first overall pick in 2013 out of UNLV by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Bennett was part of the Andrew Wiggins-Kevin Love trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves and lasted just one season there as well. Bennett was waived by the Toronto Raptors this season in February.

Kobe Bryant Turned Down Offer To Join Barcelona For 16-17 Season

Apr 1, 2016 12:20 PM

Kobe Bryant was given an offer from Barcelona last summer to extend his basketball career overseas. Bryant decided to turn it down.

Senior officials at the Catalan club ramped up their overtures toward Bryant after hearing him talk about ending his basketball career with Pau Gasol.

In July, club officials said Kobe told them he "would love to finish my career playing for Barca with Pau Gasol."

Bryant spent his childhood in Europe and has often expressed admiration for European players.

Bryant turned it down out of concerns he wouldn't be healthy enough for the season. Barcelona offered to allow Bryant to exclusively play in the more high-profile Euroleague games.
