Daryl Morey took responsibility for the Houston Rockets' disappointing season that ended in a five-game series loss to the Golden State Warriors as the eighth seed.

"This is on me," he said. "A lot of the guys we brought in didn't work out. That's on me. We're going to do better. We're going to get back to Rockets basketball. We're going to get back to winning."

Morey disputed the notion that he does not value chemistry.

"I think it's hugely important," Morey said. "I don't remember articles about how our chemistry was great last year. I don't remember articles last year that said how great our guys were together. That's a label people throw on a team when it's not going well. The reality is we didn't have enough guys playing together and playing well. Last year, we had a lot of guys playing well and playing together. It's the same group of guys. They had good chemistry. They just didn't play well.

"It's the convenient thing to say the chemistry is bad. We lost games. Everybody is trying to figure out why we lost games. The reality is our defense was a lot worse. That was guys not playing as well as we needed them to play."

Phil Jackson will meet with a few players on the New York Knicks to go over the triangle offense. Kurt Rambis will also join him for the meetings.

Jackson remains as committed as ever to running the triangle and would like Rambis to remain as head coach.

Jackson has spoken with Luke Walton about the job and he also has interest in David Blatt. The next coach he hires will likely have to agree to run the system.

Derek Fisher was fired as head coach midseason and has subsequently received criticism for not developing the concepts of the triangle in the offseason.

The Cleveland Cavaliers moved Kevin Love to center in their Game 1 but didn't play him like one.

Love had 28 points including 4-for-8 on three-pointers as Andre Drummond was forced to chase him on the perimeter.

Love, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving combined for 81 of the Cavaliers' 106 points.

Both Love and Irving were lost to injury during last year's playoffs.

While we know the Spurs, Warriors, Cavs, Clippers, Celtics and Hornets finished in the top-10 in both Offensive and Defensive Efficiency, it is nice to see how far away from the pack those teams actually were during the 15-16 regular season.

The Spurs finished the season slightly ahead of the Warriors in terms of efficiency differential as they were excellent on both sides of the floor. The Warriors had one of the NBA's best ever seasons of offensive efficiency as the Spurs did on defense.

The Thunder, Cavaliers, Raptors and Clippers are grouped together in the next tier, while the Celtics, Hornets, Hawks, Hornets, Pistons and Blazers are just a bit ahead of the large middle of the league.

Draymond Green is receiving some consideration for All-NBA Center First Team.

Green played a significant percentage of his minutes at center for the Golden State Warriors this season.

Per 36 minutes, Green averaged 19.8 points, 11.3 rebounds, 7.8 assists, 1.4 steals, 2.3 blocks, 2.8 turnovers and a True Shooting Percentage of .689 at the center position.

The Warriors also were 26.6 points per 48 minutes better than their opponents with Green at center.

Green was second in the NBA in Positional Daily RAPM when at center in the entire NBA, trailing on Stephen Curry.

The Golden State Warriors, Detroit Pistons and San Antonio Spurs led the NBA in fewest catch-and-shoot three-pointers allowed per 100 possessions with fewer than 16.0.

The Warriors were first with 15.4 catch-and-shoot three-pointers allowed per 100, followed by the Pistons with 15.5 and the Spurs with 15.8.

The Milwaukee Bucks ranked last in the category with 22.2 catch-and-shoot three-pointers allowed per 100. The Bucks regressed badly as a defensive unit from 14-15 to 15-16.

Russell Westbrook leads the NBA in "grab and go buckets" with 85 for the season.

A "grab and go" is defined as either a player's own unassisted make or assists to teammates in seven seconds or less following a defensive rebound.

Draymond Green ranks second with 65.

The Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs played four times this season with the defending champions winning three of the games.

The Warriors and Spurs have been the NBA's best two teams this season and are widely expected to meet in the Western Conference Finals.

On a per average game basis, the Warriors had an efficiency differential of +9.5 but most of that damage was done in the blowout in January.

The Spurs will have a better season efficiency differential than the Warriors despite having a lesser record.

Andre Drummond and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope remain the only players from the roster Stan Van Gundy inherited 23 months ago when he took over the Detroit Pistons.

Van Gundy was asked if this roster has special importance to him with how many players he chose for it.

"They're all special and a lot of those teams have meant a lot to me," Van Gundy said. "This one does too. I'll tell you why it's special, because it's now. Those are all in the past, those are all in the past. And it's also, look, it's special because this organization hasn't been in six years.

"So it's not just about me and my coaching staff and the players in the locker room. It's about our ownership, number one, this is their first time. And it's about all the people who have been here for a long time, and have gone through a lot of good years ... and now have had a lot of bad years. It's about all of those people. It's special for those reasons."

Carmelo Anthony is hoping for more roster continuity as the New York Knicks continue to work on finding the right formula.

Anthony, Kristaps Porzingis and Robin Lopez are likely to be returning starters.

Anthony has had over 70 teammates and four different head coaches since joining the Knicks in 2011.

"I think that's the most important part, just having some type of consistency, just a group of guys being together for a period of time and not just rotating in and out each year," said Anthony. "I think if we can establish that as a team, as an organization each year, you'll start seeing us taking steps forward. Guys feeling more confident and more comfortable in their game and us a team. I don't think guys can learn a system right away being here for a couple months and then rotate guys in and out. Guys need to be together for a long period of time in order for us to kind master the system."
