Five-Star Prospect Jeremiah Fears Commits To Illinois

Five-star junior prospect Jeremiah Fears committed to Illinois for the 2025 class, choosing the school over Providence.

Fears is Illinois' first five-star commit since at least 2007.

"It's my hometown school. I want to win and be a hometown hero. They've been recruiting me the longest and the hardest, since the eighth grade. I have a great relationship with Brad Underwood and staff," said Fears.

Fears is ranked as the No. 16 prospect in the ESPN 60 for 2025.

V.J. Edgecombe Commits To Baylor

V.J. Edgecombe committed to Baylor on Sunday.

Edgecombe is ranked No. 5 in the ESPN 100 for the 2024 class. 

"Baylor has a winning culture, a great staff and head coach. Coach Drew is a genuine person; he has built an incredible program," said Edgecombe.

Edgecombe is Baylor's highest-ranked recruit in over a decade.

Mikey Williams Commits To UCF

Mikey Williams announced his commitment to UCF on Friday.

Williams entered the transfer portal earlier this week after never appearing for Memphis.

Williams must complete a gun safety course and 80 hours of community service by August in order to reduce a felony charge of making criminal threats down to a misdemeanor.

Isaiah Collier Out 4-6 Weeks With Hand Injury

USC guard Isaiah Collier is set to miss the next 4-6 weeks due to a hand injury.

Collier suffered the injury on Wednesday night against Washington State.

Collier, who is averaging 15.4 points and 4.1 assists, is currently the No. 8 prospect in ESPN's draft rankings.

Mikey Williams Enters Transfer Portal

Memphis freshman Mikey Williams entered the transfer portal, the school announced on Monday.

Williams had yet to play a game for the Tigers this season.

Williams reached a plea deal to get a felony charge of making criminal threats reduced to a misdemeanor if he completes a gun safety course and 80 hours of community service by August. 

Freshman forward JJ Taylor also entered the transfer portal on Monday.
