Jameer Nelson was hired as a scout and assistant GM for the Delaware Blue Coats, the G League team of the Philadelphia 76ers.

The 38-year-old Nelson, who had a 14-year career in the NBA, last played for the Pistons in 2018.

Elton Brand has made several changes to the Sixers front office, including hiring Peter Dinwiddie and Prosper Karangwa. 

Andre Ingram was named as the interim president of the Basketball Players Union, a union for the NBAGL players.

The BPU was formed last summer, with assistance from the NBPA. 

The BPU represents all of the players in the G League, including the newly-formed NBA G League Select Team.

David Stockton was named the vice president, with Isaiah Todd selected as secretary-treasurer.
