The Knicks, who aren't done reloading, still have sights on trying to steal point guard Gary Payton from the Sonics. As reported by the New York Post before, they made Payton inquiries in May, according to a league source, but failed to make an offer. Miami has already made at least one offer for Payton.

The re-signing of Allan Houston could put Latrell Sprewell squarely on the trade block. Seattle apparently doesn't have any interest in Sprewell, meaning a 3 or 4-team trade might be needed to acquire Payton.
