According to a report by Lacy Banks of the Chicago Sun-Times, Michael Jordan is telling friends that his progression is going so well that he will certainly be back and its announcement is a mere formality.  Many who have worked out with him and Hoops Gym are hinting as much but have been sworn to remain silent.  Even his agent (why would a GM need an agent?) is keeping his mouth shut.  ''I'm not making any comments about him coming back because it would be premature and this is something only he can decide, which he says he'll do around the first week in September,'' said David Falk, Jordan's agent.

As Banks concluded, 'Now, barring serious injury, he is coming back and that's good. I never bought that perfect-ending stuff others used to justify his quitting. A perfect ending for Jordan is not scoring the winning basket to clinch the Bulls' sixth championship. Nor is it quitting while he's the best player or the highest paid and most popular player in the world.  To me, the perfect ending for Jordan is quitting only when he is good and ready.'
